I love parts of the service, though I have a couple of issues that I feel compelled raise. After updating, merging and eliminating duplicates of my contacts through your premium service I wanted to let all of my contacts know my new info. To this point everything ws perfect,
I went thorugh every one of my hundreds of contacts again to determine who should get my personal card and which emails were already out date. Then when i went throug the notification wizard I only had the option to send to everyone my business and my personal or just my business card. So . . . I chose not to send my person contact info to anyone.
Further, none of the updated contact info was contained in my final list of contacts, so i had to review every single contact again to take out the bad emails . . . again. That is tough work when there are 1000 plus contacts--seems like it should happen instantly.
Finally, the "cards" in the update fields for my account look nothing like the email message. This is annoying and should clear from the get go--this is what your recipient will see (including all of the ads!)
not likely to maintain my service b/c of these issues , ,,

I signed up for premium in May, and I've just recently had issues with the product. I have emailed VIP support 3 times now in the last 2 weeks and gotten no responses. I am aware you guys are busy, but shouldn't a paying customer expect some level of service? I'm thinking about cancelling my use of the product due to the lack of support.
Any comments or idea would be appreciated.

Hi jkowall
Can you shoot me an email (redgee at plaxo dot com). I want to find out what happened with your support requests:
- How you sent the request in...
- Where did you send it to...
- Did you get an autoresponse...
- What email address did you use to contact us?
I would really appreciate your feedback - and I'll also make sure you get an answer to your question. Thanks.

I am very unhappy with plaxo.
I bought a new black berry and began syncing my contacts from outlook daily. Then I got plaxo! YAY! Well that day when i went to sync my phone all of my contacts had duplicates. I have 970 contacts before having duplictes!! Amazingly enough, plaxo has a de-duper, for only 59.99! Wow cool this will do the trick. So I bought it stupidly and NOW it will only correct 14 contacts. Now it says it can't find any more duplicates. Well I am sitting here looking at all my contacts with exact duplictes. Funny how this all worked out!
i am livid because now when I try to find a contact it takes my twice as long and I am on this phone all day long calling people. It's effecting my efficiency, and wasting my time.
Please help me if there is anyone out there that has had this same problem.

Hi Ahyndman
Sorry to hear about the bad experience. As a VIP member (btw, it should only be $49.95 - and you can cancel it in 30 days and you won't get charged) you are entitled to 24/7 support (calls and chat, as well as emails). Support can help walk you through the problem and should be able to figure things out faster than forums.
And by the way, you mentioned that you have 970 contacts before dupes - I see that now in your account (hotmail). Where are the duplicates - were these fixed by yourself? Did support help?
Also, as a note to all our users - if you feel that Plaxo was the culprit in duplicating your addressbook entries, please let us know and we'll "dedupe" your address book at no cost to you. Our intention is not to cause a problem and sell a solution to fix that problem.
Ahyndman, there could be some "private" info we'll need to exchange so I'm hesitant in exchanging responses over the forum - please feel free to contact me directly (redgee at plaxo dot com). Thanks.

I feel Plaxo is being dishonest about their goals for Plaxo. The core functions have been, up to this point, to keep contacts and calendars in sync. This is no longer the case. The yahoo calendar sync point had problems and the "fix" was simply to remove it. I've contacted VIP support for months and they say they are working on it but, nothing has changed. There is no information about when it will be fixed or restored. It appears that all their resources have been turned towards pulse and social networking which leads me to believe the original sync functions are no longer to be relied upon. They are a low priority at best. If this were not the case the problem would have been fixed. They would at least have some information available about the progress they are making if any. I've used Plaxo for a long time and now I'm forced to look for another solution. My goal was to keep my yahoo calendar and contacts in sync with outlook so outlook would in turn sync with my windows mobile based phone.

I've also been experiencing issues with Google sync not syncing in 15min intervals. I have to remember to sync manually after my calendars go out of sync. I've sent multiple e-mails to support and zero response.

There might be some issues but I found it is an excellent software for sending cards and synchronization on Windows XP platform. Thanks to Plaxo team for a great effort.
