Anyone use GTD Outlook add-in and sync ok?

Just asking before I spend the money to get this add-in.....does anyone use this and successfully sync 2 computers (laptop and desktop, say) using the GTD views and categories?

Our QA team has not tested that add-in. I personally tried it out on my home machine briefly and experienced no problems with Plaxo, but your mileage may vary.

If you do wish to try the two programs together, I recommend that you make sure you have backup of your relevant Outlook data beforehand so you can easily 'revert back' if necessary.

Oh yes, Adam - definitely - I also use the Outlook backup add-in, so I have regular back-ups. So do you think that if I got the GTD add-in and used it on both laptop and desktop that I will sync ok as long as all the custom folders (the @folders) that GTD makes are mapped to sync? If so, this would be wonderful, as I depend on the GTD system incredibly! Thanks for your reply.

Unofficially speaking, I believe everything should be fine. As I noted, I've played with the GTD add-in (along with several other add-ins in Outlook simultaneously), and I learned that one of my colleagues has used the GTD add-in alongside Plaxo with no problems.

I think you're correct that intelligently mapping folders will be key here. In case you haven't used our Synchronization Manager, it's available after clicking on the Plaxo icon in your Toolbar.

Lastly, please do make sure you're using the latest version of Plaxo (2.4.x). Let us know how it goes!

I use the GTD outlook add-in and it syncs beautifully with Plaxo. I've written about my setup at length on my blog - http://gregcohn.com/blog/gtd/2007/09/my-gtd-outlook-blackberry-plaxo-setup/

I do not, however, have the GTD plug-in installed on my 2nd computer, just the Plaxo toolbar. So I can't comment on whether that would work (but I feel like it would be worth a try). I do sync addresses, but I use the Plaxo web interface for tasks.
