Bad Extensions Options Window Size

I sync'ed my some 970-odd contacts with success, but noticed that my notes were not being sync'ed. So I went to look in extensions options and discovered that whenever I try to open the plaxo extension options, I get a window title bar about one inch long, and the body of the window is about 2-3 pixels tall, which doesn't enable me to set any of its features.

I am using Thunderbird 1.0.6 (marked in about box as 1.58) and today's plaxo toolbar, on the Windows XP platform.

I think that is a bug that you are referring to regarding the size of the option box in the extensions for plaxo.

Regarding notes, you are not able to synchronize anything other than the addressbook between plaxo and thunderbird. That means you wont be able to sync notes, tasks, or calendar; at least not as of right now.

What does it sync?

I'm talking about the notes field in the address book, not notes items in outlook.

That field exists both in Outlook contact entries and Thunderbird contact entries.

Same problem here. The notes section is not syncing for me in Thunderbird 1.0.6 on WinXP Pro SP2. Now if Thunderbird would just add a categroy feature.

ah, I understand what you are saying now. for some reason they are ignoring that field

if you look at the mapping fields link that I gave several replies back you will notice that they have:
plaxo thunderbird
Notes [ignore]

Hopefully they can fix this issue.

I looked through the posts and I don't see that mappings link.

Yes, I had to pull the notes field for the BETA. The server was having a problem with escaping the data on its way down to the client. We are working on that now.

Yep, you found a bug. The dialog that would pop up is the same as the plaxo Preferences dialog. (Which I renamed in one place, but forgot to rename in the other.) That will be fixed in the next build.

Hi, please try the latest release, 1.61. That fixes this empty window bug.
You can get it by asking the extension to check for updates inisde of Thunderbird,
or you can download the latest from the site.

yes, I manually updated the extension and it doesnt work for me yet.

I am using Tbird 1.5 & Plaxo Toolbar 1.64. I cannot sync my address book with Plaxo and I think the solution to my problem maybe uncovered in the options extension window. But the window does not open large enough to see what the options might be. I'm hoping that the option window includes the link address book option!

Am I right? How do I get the option window to open up? /images/graemlins/smile.gif
