View Full Version : Connection Windows

Hello, thanks for this. Been waiting awhile, it was the only reason I stuck with Outlook.
I have noticed that every so often 2 small windows pop up showing Plaxo connecting to the
server. Is there anyway to turn this action off so Plaxo only connects when I start Thunderbird or atleast turn the windows off so I don't see them?
Thanks............

I second that request.

That is valid request. There is the problem though and maybe we can figure out a solution.
I definitely think we need a solution here.
When a request is made in the 'background', it is really on your foreground window. If the request took a while, it might cause your UI to appear locked up if I didn't show the progress windows.
I dont' think there is any way to detect the state of the TBird window (whether it is active/foreground or background). Another possibility is to create a hidden window and just update the status bar. The work around this is a little complicated.
What would you guys think a good solution should be?

I am assuming that you have set it automatically to sync with plaxo every so many minutes that thunderbird is active. How about putting an option to chose between manual and active sync and set manual as default. Or maybe to sync right before tbird shutsdown. Just a suggestion.

I think, that is the best solution (and easy too)
Thunderbird user love it, to have programms under her full control.
Automatic-scrips that can not be deaktivated is frightening me.
