View Full Version : "your login was not accepted"

July 28th, 2005, 01:38 AM
Hi,

I just downloaded and installed the thunderbird extension and registered my email addresses with plaxo. During the process I did not get any information what my username is, so i tried using the email-address I registered and verified, but I keep getting the error "your login was not accepted". What am I doing wrong?

Hi, try signing into the web with the authentication you registered with to see if that
works.

Also, please try the latest release, 1.61.
You can get it by asking the extension to check for updates inisde of Thunderbird,
or you can download the latest from the site.

Thanks,

I'm having the same issue - I try to logon with Plaxo Thunderbird, but get a "your login was not accepted" message. Where can I find my username?

I tried both my AIM screenname and e-mail address. I've also tried changing my password. I am able to login via the website and through Outlook. I'm using Thunderbird v 1.5 and Plaxo for Thunderbird v.1.64

I would also like to say that I can log in fine to the site, and I do have the latest version of the Plaxo toolbar.

You might want to try changing your password so it is 6 characters or less. I was having the same issue with the thunderbird extension, I couldn't log in but it worked in outlook and the website. When I contacted support they told me that the thunderbird extension doesn't work with passwords longer than 6 characters. I hope they fix this bug as short passwords are obviously less secure than longer ones.

did this resolve anybody's issue?

Do you guys have a space in your password? We have an outstanding issue where if you have a space in your password you won't be able to sign in using Thunderbird or Mac.

If this is not the case, can you all tell me if you are using any special characters in your passwords?

Thanks.
