View Full Version : Addresses mixed up after synch TB - Plaxo

Great to have a toolbar for Thunderbird. Now I will ditch my Outlook Express as well.

Yesterday I installed TB with the Plaxo toolbar. I did a synch and everything seemed to be OK. After logging on to Outlook this morning, there was a sybch between Plaxo and Outlook and now all addresses are mixed up (City becomes part of address lines, postalcode is mixed up with address and city, sometimes country part of city name, country defaults to Netherlands, ...). So far Microsoft could be blamed, but... it is the same if I log on to www.plaxo.com (http://www.plaxo.com)!

I have some problems with synchronizing addresses in Plaxo on-line and my Thunderbird address book: ther Zip / postal code is not correctly converted in Thunderburd. Dutch postal codes consist of four digits and two characters. Plaxo put the two characters of the postal code in the city:

City: HW Utrecht
ZIP/Postal code: 3555

instead of:
City: Utrecht
ZIP/Postal code: 3555 HW

It isn't simply a dutch problem...
It also mixes up "swiss style" ZIP / City:
Correct would be:
ZIP: 3000 City: Bern
Unfortunately this becomes:
ZIP: [empty] City: Bern, 3000

Valid form for us would be: "3000 Bern", not "Bern, 3000"

In addition, if there is no number in the Street/Address field, the whole info get's strangely mixed up and all stuffed into the City field.
(It's not uncommon in Switzerland to not have a number assigned to a house

Does somebody know if there is a fix for this bug already? I just found that I should not change anything in the Thunbird adressbook as this cause this error.
