Half My Contacts - No update request sent

I've tried to send an update request to all of my contact list three separate times now. Only half of them show a status of any kind (ie - the icon next to their name shows that they've been sent a request, that they are a plaxo member, or that they have updated their info). The other contacts don't have any icon next to them.

The last attempt I made, I tried to send the request specifically to those that didn't show a status. Still nothing. Can anyone help?
