View Full Version : What are the top feature requests?

August 12th, 2005, 06:08 PM
So far I have (not in order, that is for you /images/graemlins/smile.gif to decide)

1. Toolbar size and customization
2. Multiple folder support
3. Calendar sync
4. Better progressbar work (seems stuck at times)

What else?

I think it'd be great if the progress bar was in the bottom status bar instead of popping up its own window. It's distracting to have it popup a window every X minutes.

I dont know if you guys have any plans to extend the ie plaxo toolbar to firefox. Is anyone working on this?

Maybe we can get some more feature options like the ability to select when the contacts should be synced.

Can you add the plaxo toolbar for thunderbird to the addressbook as well? Is this option available?

Calendar/Task sync would have to be my top request as that would allow complete migration from Outlook.

I agree - popup is very annoying especially on dial-up.

Can we also have an option to turn off automatic sync and sync manually when requested?
I don't need it synching so frequently, especially when it appears to be a modal window that stops me using Tbird.

I would have to agree that calendar and task sync is the most important. However, all the 4 things you mentioned are the top 4 things (the only 4 major ones that I see.....for now:-) )

Drew,

I think it should be noted that thunderbird does not use folders for seperating contacts but actually seperate address books... So the contact folders online would have to somehow sync with the different address books you have in you thunderbird client.

Hi Jive,

Yes, I think that would be the easiest to accomplish. The only other option is categories, and those aren't well supported.

For me, multiple folder support is most required feature atm. Toolbar size and appearance doen't matter much to me, but I would like to have calendar sync and better progressbar.

I use 4 personnal adress book, with a lot of distribution list in each.

I'd like the ability to be able to turn off synching of some address books.

Signature support.

TB allows a vcard to be attached to outgoing messages but I found no way to use a contact in the address book as the vcard to attach, I have to edit the vcard by hand for each identity. Maybe Plaxo could integrate into this funcionality also adding some of the signature stuff from Outlook.

Thanks.
