Dialog Boxes Don't Close

I have installed the latest version of the Plaxo toolbar for Thunderbird (Thanks, BTW!). There are two users on the computer, and on one of them it works flawlessly, but in the other (mine, of course), almost all of the sync update boxes (the ones that tell you the progress of the sync operations) won't close. When the bar gets to the far right hand side, I have to click on the "X" to close the box; the sync then proceeds, although there are sometimes hard crashes, which yield both the "report this to Mozilla" and "report to Microsoft" error messages.

The only difference between the two users is that in my Thunderbird profile, I've installed the Enigmail extension. I removed the Enigmail extension, and that didn't affect this problem - the dialog boxes don't close. The Folderpane extension is installed on both .

Any clues?

It's still happening - the dialog boxes won't close on my installation of the TB Toolbar. I have installed it successfully on two other computers, and they work fine --- as does the installation on this computer for the other user.

Removing then reinstalling the toolbar didn't help, but I noticed that it remembered all of the settings from the prior installation... so maybe if I could obliterate any record of the toolbar then try again?? What files would need to be deleted?
