View Full Version : Adding additional fields to Plaxo Signature

Is there a way to add additional lines to the Plaxo Signature? I want to add 3 lines under my name and title in my Plaxo Signature to list other information my clients need to know. I currently have everything in my "title" and, due to formatting problems (I can't insert a return), I have to edit the Plaxo Signature before sending each message.

There's no way to do this currently from Plaxo. You could try editing your signature in Outlook. If you go to Outlook's Tools, Options, Mail Format. And then Signatures, you can edit the signature from there.

I have a similar problem, prior to installing Plaxo we had a confidentiality message in our outlook signature but can't add this in Plaxo and Outlook only allows either a text signature or Plaxo signature not both. Can an extra field be added to include the additional text please?

It would help tremendously if the Plaxo Signature setup would have an optional textbox where a Confidentiality statement could be added. Using Outlook 2003, I was able to play with the basic Signature editing facility for a while and finally add the statement just below all of the Plaxo Signature box.
Also, even if I did not need to add any text, I was able to enter several Returns down the right side of the box so that when the Plaxo signature is selected for use in a Reply, it forces all of the text below it to be below it and not crunched up along the right side.

Patrick - that's a good suggestion.
In the meantime, as you noticed, the Plaxo Signature Builder is simply an interface to create the signature file that Outlook/OE uses. This signature file can be editted directly with any text editor and modified to include other information you may wish to add.
