View Full Version : Installed Outlook toolbar, but it's not showing

I downloaded and installed the toolbar for Outlook/Outlook Express... it has me restart Outlook, but when I do, the toolbar isn't there. I went through to Tools, Options, Other, Advanced, COM Add-Ins .. and Plaxo is not listed in the box. I am using Outlook 2003. I have even tried shutting down and rebooting the machine, and the toolbar still doesn't show. Any thoughts?

Hmm, it sounds like the install didn't work. Look in your c:\program files for a Plaxo directory. And under that should be a version number directory with various files (plx_core.dll, plx_out.dll, etc.).
If those aren't there then the installation did not succeed for some reason. Try making sure any firewalls you have are not blocking the install.
If those files are there, then something else went wrong - not sure what to suggest other than uninstalling and trying the install again. You can also try to manually add plx_out.dll from COM Add-Ins.

IT'S INSTALLING TO OUTLOOK EXPRESS RATHER THAN OUTLOOK.
I TOO AM HAVING THIS ISSUE.
IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT YOU CANNOT *****CHOOSE******* WHICH APP TO INSTALL IT TO?????????????@!#$%^&
