Bug - Apostrophe in contact name foils sync

Bug report - If I add a contact name that has an apostrophe to my Thunderbird address book it behaves strangely when synchronizing with Plaxo. Sometimes the name won't sync, sometimes the apostrophe disappears, and sometimes (cannot reproduce) it adds "FirstName LastName" along with truncated apostrophe to Plaxo online.

However, I'm Beta on Beta so some quirky behavior is expected, and I'm using the Thunderbird nightly testing tools extension to overrule version incompatibility.

OK, I've pinned this down a little better.

Hyphenated names, if added to Tbird address book first, won't sync to Plaxo online.
Hyphenated names, if added to Plaxo online first, sync to Thunderbird, and then all kinds of havoc breaks loose ..
Each subsequent sync attempt adds another cloned contact to Plaxo of this format:
John ODoe, FirstName, John, LastName, ODoe

Obviously "John O'Doe" was not the name I tried, but I have edited it here to protect the identity of my contact.

A simple workaround is to remove all apostrophes, but "John O'Doe" might not like seeing his name altered to "John ODoe". The workaround restores functionality, though.

Not sure what would happen if my contact John O'Doe were to update his info in Plaxo and reinsert the apostrophe - probably all kinds of havoc would break loose again.

Thanks much for the bug report and your thoughtful followup. I've made sure that our lead t-bird engineer has seen your note.

The bug is still there in the 1.62 beta. Any idea when it will be fixed?

As far as still being there in version 1.62, that is the version in which I first reported the bug and it is still the current version.

However (attention Plaxo employees), the bug causes similar problems with an apostrophe in the company name field, too.
