categories

When contacts edit there information, do they see the categories I set in outlook or is this viewable to them ? if viewable then is there a way to keep some of the fields hidden so that I can keep information that they can't edit or see.

Hi Chris, and welcome to the Plaxo Forum.

Only you can see the categories you attach to your contacts. Similarly, they can't see any notes you write in the Notes field of their contact record.
