View Full Version : Date formats other than American

Is it possible to use UK or other date formats on Plaxo Online? I created an appointment for myself and found that it was using American format (mm/dd/yy). Right now it could be difficult for us non-US users to work out than 10/2/05 is not the 10th of February!
Maybe I have missed a setting somewhere?

Ah, jolly good. I write for Web sites overseas and have the Mac's default calendar set up to display yyyy-mm-dd. If nothing else, when I retrieve files from folders or sort in (pick one) databases, spreadsheets, text files I want the bloody dates to put the stuff in (pick one) ascending or descending order. Working in international broadcasting and crossing time zones makes the yyyy-mm-dd the most logical and easiest format for me. It's also helpful when I'm in the midst of cataloging about 8000 digital photographs in Adobe Photoshop's Bridge. Oh fearless Plaxo people, as Jean Luc Picard would say... "make it so." Merci.

I agree, putting the dates in yyyy-mm-dd format is the best option. I'm not just saying that because that is how I do everything on my computer. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I am familiar with the UK dd/mm/yy format but would consider yy/mm/dd as a logical (you'd know that the month came second) alternative.
Any comment from PLAXO would be appreciated.
I'm a new user and generally well pleased with the program.
