View Full Version : Slow Outlook operations due to Plaxo??

October 3rd, 2005, 12:57 PM
Hi -- ever since I downloaded the Plaxo toolbar (is it required), my outlook has been EXTREMELY slow. This is sort of unacceptable as I work from home and need my outlook access to be much faster. Is it because it's constantly connected/communicating with the Plaxo server? Is there a way for me to disable to connection so that it only syncs/connects when I tell it to, and not automatically or always?

Thank you.

Christine - The impact on each person's system will vary, but in general, Plaxo should not be causing any type of extreme impact on your system. Variability can be based upon your address book and calendar size, as well as network connectivity issues.

If you believe that Plaxo may be playing a role in your system slowness, you can temporarily disable Plaxo by going to the Plaxo Program Files group. You might also wish to contact our Support department directly at: http://support.plaxo.com/bin/request.py, and they will work with you directly to determine if there is anything strange going on related to Plaxo.
