Outlook 2003 provides 3 slots for e-mail addresses: e-mail 1, e-mail 2, and e-mail 3. Let’s say I have contact John Smith in Outlook. I put John's home e-mail, jsmith@homeaddress.com, into e-mail 1, and I put John's work e-mail, jsmith@workaddress.com, into e-mail 2.
Now, I join Plaxo, and I send John a request for update. Plaxo, however, assumes that jsmith@homeaddress.com, in e-mail slot 1, is John's work address and that jsmith@workaddress.com, in e-mail slot 2, is John's home address. So, John switches the e-mail addresses, and when Plaxo updates my Outlook, his work address is now in slot 1 and his home address is in slot 2. However, for me, none of my contacts' work address is the primary one, so I want the home address in slot 1.
Is Plaxo capable of this customization, or will it always assume that work addresses go in slot 1?
Or is there a setting in Outlook that I need to check?
Thanks.
Rodney
