I have installed TB for mac. I am using MAC OS X Tiger with the latest update. I want to install the Plaxo Plug in in my TB. I downloaded the Beta Version and put it on my hard disk. I followed the instructions to go to Tools than Extensions and than add...... the only File I can Install is plaxotbird.jar. When I try to install it i am getting the error Message " Mozilla can not download the file from its located position because the install script is missing ? If some one got a Idea what i did wrong and can help out let me know.
Thanx

I am encountering the same problem.
- Downloaded the plaxo toolbar. It downloads a folder called plaxobird with a filed called install.rdf. There is also a folder called chrome with a file called plaxotbird.jar.
- I launch Thunderbird and use the Extension utility under the Tools menu.
- I select the .jar file and get the follow message: Mozilla Thunderbird could not download the file ploxobird.jar because: Install script not found.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks.

Hi, the problem is the download. You may have to go 'Save As' on the link.
The result should be one file called plaxotbird.xpi. If you are getting a folder,
the extension will not install in Thunderbird.

Ok got it. Thanks dru.
Here's what I had to do.
- On the link to download the xpi file, you need to right-click or crtl-click and select Download Linked File.
- This will download a file call plaxobird.xpi.zip.
- Launch Thunderbird, select Tools - Extensions. Select + to install the extension.
- Navigate to the plaxobird.xpi.zip file, and click Install.
Good luck.
