View Full Version : Shipped to QA
December 14th, 2005, 07:16 PM
Hi guys,
I've shipped to QA the next build of the TBird plugin. There are a few fixes in there.
The sync is now manual by default so it doesn't steal focus. The big fix is support
for Thunderbird 1.5.
What I didn't get to fix:
Multiple folder support and the proper toolbar buttons, and background sync.
The first two were mostly an 'out of time' issue.
These will be done in the next version.
I'll let you know when it goes out.
cheers!

Hi
Sorry for a stupid question, but what is QA ? And where could we download your last compilation ? (the version on Plaxo download area is still 1.62)
Many thanks

QA stands for Quality Assurance. QA is involved in the development and testing of any released product to ensure it matches quality specifications. When Dru says something has been "shipped to QA", he's simply letting you know that he it has been handed over to QA for final testing and verification. If no major problems are discovered in this stage, we should soon release it to the public.

Will the version that QA is currently working on support using the AOL IM Screen Name? I've set up my Outlook clients to use the AOL IM Screen Name with Plaxo, and I'd like to be able to do the same thing with my Thunderbird clients.
Thanks!

Thunderbird 1.5RC2 has now become the official Thunderbird 1.5 release. See this thread (http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=366158). Will you release the compatible version of your plugin from QA soon? I am anxiously waiting. Also, I volunteer to be an alpha tester for it, or any newer versions, at any time /images/graemlins/wink.gif you'd like a version tried by volunteers but you are not ready to release it as a public beta.

Thanks, Dru, for a speedy response to my post in the "shipped to QA" thread. I'm going to rip right into upgrading my Tbird to 1.5 and my Plaxo to 1.64.
