View Full Version : HTML forum notifications display improperly

I received a forum notification email in which the HTML tags are displayed as text rather than being used to format the message.

Sounds like your forum profile is likely setup to send HTML mail to you, but something is causing your mail client to not present the information properly. It could be in how the message is being created, or how your client expects the format of the message. It's hard to say.
Most of the messages are just plain text, so it's probably easiest to just change your forum profile to send plain text messages.

Thanks. Yes, I turned on HTML in my profile as gmail accepts HTML and it is displaying HTML from other senders with no problems.
Any other possibilities?

I've had the same problem from the beginning with the forum notification messages from Plaxo. The HTML cannot render properly in Pocomail nor in Gmail.
Other mail from Plaxo is plaintext and looks fine.
One exception is the forum notifications that I received on December 27, 2006: They rendered fine. Yet I have never changed the settings for HTML. All forum notifications before that and all since then have been relatively unreadable HTML code.
