I Installed the toolbar extention for Thunderbird. It says Item will be uninstalled after you restart thunderbird. why does it say that when I am trying to install it? I have Thunderbird 1.0.7

I just tried installing the newest version 1.64 with TBird 1.0.7 and had the same problem. It showed up in TBird 1.5 so I think the newest version broke the compatibility with the older versions of thunderbird somehow.

I have got the same problem. Installed the latest Thunderbird and afterwards the Plaxo extension. It just stays in the list 'Extension will be installed if you restart Thunderbird'. I tried rebooting entire pc but it changes nothing. It doesn't work.

I am having the same issue. It just keeps telling me the toolbar will be installed after I restart Tbird. Anyone find a solution yet?

I am having the same problem. I just wrote to Plaxo. Has anyone else done this? I included this thread in my email, so hopefully they will respond. If I get something back that is useful for all of you, I will let you know.

Here is the response I received from Plaxo:
The reason this issue has cropped up is because the latest Plaxo toolbar
1.64v is designed to work with Thunderbird 1.5v only. So I request you to
download the latest thunderbird version fron www.getthunderbird.com (http://www.getthunderbird.com) and
then install the Plaxo toolbar for Thunderbird. This issue will cease to
exist.

I Have Thunderbird 1.5, always have the latest. And I get the Uninstall problem. It is NOT coming up. I get the "Plaxo will Uninstall" notice and not the toolbar.
*sigh* I was hoping to get my OE and Thunderbird address folders synced, since I need to be able to use both.
