View Full Version : size limit on imports?

Is there a limit on the number of email addresses that can be imported at once? One of my testers ran into this problem with a large address book, more than 1000 addresses.

Hmmm, in theory, there isn't a limit.
Would you tell us more about it - for example, which address book was it importing from and when in the process it went wrong? Did that same process work trying to import with less than the 1000 contacts (using a subset)? With that info, we'll try to reproduce it here.
Thanks for letting us know about the problem...

Here's what my tester reported upon trying to add 1140 addresses from Yahoo:
Plaxo Import error: Says Unable to add recipients, please close address book window and try again.
He's not real technically astute, being in marketing, but later reported able to add 100 or
so addresses at a time.
Now, since you're talking to a plaxo server, I would expect some kind of reasonable size limitation, given the multiple paths the data is taking before it ends up in my textarea.

Sorry for the delay in the reply. The error you mentioned usually menas that the widget can't find the text area on your page in which to pre-fill the selected addresses. There's no size limitation per se, but it's possible that there's a bug in there somewhere. We're going to check it out in testing.
