blank vCards

I've just recently started using the Plaxo Mac to sync with Address book. I sent out an update email, and people have been updating their cards. Some of the cards are coming out blank with no data in the fields, but all the correct data is in the "history" panel. There's no way I'm going through each contact to cut and paste each field into the current/uptodate card. What is going on?

It would be useful if you could send us your PlaxoAssistant.log file, but what I suspect is happening is that your Address Book sync information was reset during the time your contacts were updating their information: this could lead to you clearing out the new data that your contacts just sent you. Are you (often) seeing a (!) graphic on the Plaxo menu icon?
