Sync with iCal? [Archive]

Are there any plans to allow plaxo calendar and tasks to sync with iCal? Maybe sync notes with Dashboard?

Or is there an API to do this?

Good question. When is Plaxo for iCal coming? I need it to sync between my office Outlook and my Mac at home!

Just checked the tracking number for 'Plaxo <-> iCal sync' on UPS.com but it justs says 'en route'. Still no specified delivery date.

But seriously, I will certainly be posting to the forum when we have a delivery date set. And by the looks of things, it appears many of you would be willing to test pre-releases? (I can't promise this - we want to make sure your data is in good hands).

I would be interested in Beta testing iCal sync capabilities on Mac OS X. I have been using Plaxo for Mac since it was in Beta and have also used Plaxo for Thunderbird (on Mac & Windows) and Plaxo for Outlook over the years. I am excited to use iCal Plaxo integration!

I would love to beta test this feature.

Is it possible to just make the calendar into an ical feed, or let plaxo online's calendar like google calendar, where feeds can be added to it?

If you can, try working on that.

It looks like about a month or so has passed since you last addressed the notion of syncing iCal with Plaxo. Sorry to pester you, but is there anything else you can add today?

Unfortunately, we're still not at the stage where we're ready to turn out the new code to external beta testers.

But as far as progress goes, I have been seeing iCal Calendars and Events flowing to and fro my Plaxo Online account. Getting better every day. We're trying to ensure that your patience will be rewarded with a solid beta experience.

I would also be interested in beta testing Plaxo for iCal. Will it be possible to only sync specifically selected calenders? For example, I have numerous subscribed sports/music/movie calenders I like viewing at home using iCal (and preferably online) but not on my work PC which also syncs using Plaxo.

That is our goal. The first beta release may or may not have selective syncing, but by the time we have our general release, I would expect that to be in place.

Is it really iCal sync coming or is this just an excuse to hook us to Plaxo. I have been waiting for one year for it and even it was always said that it will arrive soon it is not been released yet!

Let me add my voice to the chorus. iCal sync would be WONDERFUL... :)

I too would be more than willing to beta an iCal plugin.

Our new Plaxo 3.0 service is getting a lot of internal scrutiny before we release it to Plaxo members, even in the beta program that we're planning. There are A LOT of pieces changing with this release, our largest release ever, so the task is not a piece of cake. We're all very anxious to get all the new goodies in your hands but we won't do it until we're confident you'll have a good experience with it.

I have not yet found an automated, reliable way to two-way-sync Calendars between Outlook/WM5/iCal despite spending hours with Google Calendars/Schedule World/Spanning Sync etc etc.

Plaxo has been excellent at syncing my Address books however and iCal support would be fantastic!
