Select an option to loggin by default.

Hi.....

I have implement the Address Book Access gadget in the site www.cachinko.com and build an user control in asp.net to insert this feature in multiples pages. It works excelent, powerfull.

However, i want to know if is posible to select by default any option...... i mean when the user selects an image or button to export hotmail contacts open the gadget with Hotmail option selected, when selects yahoo open the gadget with yahoo selected or whatever te options were selected.

Can it is posible?

Hi palizada,

I'll have to check with the engineers on whether you can pass an option to the widget. I think not because the widget has some smarts wrt whether a user is a Plaxo member and will auto-log them in.

I would also like to be able to forward users to the 2nd page of the widget for a specific service based on a parameter passed to it.

The reason for this is we have integrated both the API and Widget into our product for importing contacts and we want to set up a choice for people so that if they choose Plaxo as the place to import contacts from it will use the API to import full contact information. If they choose another non-plaxo service we will give them the widget to at least offer them the name and e-mail addresses they want. Currently we have to provide a 2-step choice:

Step 1 - Plaxo via non-plaxo
Step 2 - choice page of the widget.

We would like to offer a single step choice:

Plaxo
Outlook
Google
etc...

What's your website? Are you keeping an address book or just accessing Plaxo when needed?

I'm hoping that if you're keeping an address book that you're using the full power of the sync api to keep the contacts current for Plaxo members.
