I have tried to disable syncing my calendar between Outlook 2003 and Plaxo. I deleted the calendar in Plaxo and it created a new empty one, which shows up in Sync Manager as an "Unlinked Online Folder." However, in Outlook I still get synchronization messages about specific events. How can I stop this attempted sync'ing of the calendar altogether?

There's a couple ways to do this: if you go into Outlook, and in the Plaxo toolbar, click Plaxo, Preferences, and go to the Synchronization tab, there's a checkbox which you can uncheck to stop synchronizing all calendar folders.
If you want folder-by-folder control, you can also go to Plaxo, Advanced, Synchronization Manager. Then click on a folder on the left-hand side and click the "ignore" link on the right-hand side.
Basically if you delete a folder online, it will simply become "unlinked" in the Plaxo toolbar for Outlook. Because the calendar folder was a default folder, it got recreated online, which then ended up getting created in Outlook. In a future version, this behavior will probably be improved a bit.
