Hi!

I'm having a problem, where not all my contacts (Hotmail) are showing up in the addressbook widget. 7 are showing up, out of about 80. Even more odd, is that while loading, the bit that says "Contacts" says "Contacts (23 items)" then once loaded, says to "Contacts (7 items)".

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ozz,

I've checked here, and we're not able to reproduce it yet.

All 80 have email addresses? (the widget only shows those that have email addresses)

If they all do (or if more than 7 do), would you want us to look directly at your account? (send me private message with any one of: screenshots of your account, or set your password for us to check out, or send a .csv file of your exported contacts --- again, in a private message).

Otherwise, we'll have to wait till we can reproduce it here.

Hi:
Having the same problem with hotmail contacts.
I noticed the problem, with 2 fields in the hotmail address book, the widget works with the e-mail field, but not with Windows Live ID field that is populated automatically when you add a new contact in MSN messenger. So, I suggest to the guys at Plaxo that they look for the 2 fields in order to import the address because most people only use that field in that address book. With this fix I suppose It will work for all the contacts.
Thanks

Hi chocheraz,

The widget only supplies contacts with email addresses.

Are you saying that the Windows Live ID is an email address but in a different field?

Hi Kathy:
That's true. The Windows Live ID is the email address for default in the hotmail address by default. That's why I don't get all my contacts when I use the widget because I only hace 3 explicit email addreses registered and the others contacts don't have it, and only have Windows Live Id field filled. If you also look for that field, the problem would be solved.
Thanks
Chocheraz
