Trying out the new Plaxo -- I have multiple folders in Plaxo online that I only need one or two in my work Outlook. In the old Plaxo, the advanced options allowed me to select folders and map them or ignore them.
Can't seem to find that option anywhere in the new 3.0 client.
Any hints?

Hello Sox,
During the setup wizard, you need to choose 'Advanced sync' option and you can choose which folders to sync and which not. If you have already done the setup, you may have to run the setup again (we do not have the feature to map/un-map at this time).
To run the setup, you either can
1. un-install and install again, or
2. delete the sync-point from Plaxo online, restart Outlook and click on any button from Plaxo toolbar
hope this helps out. If you have any other issues, let us know.
Thanks,
Ramesh

Thanks -- this worked okay, except that it did not show me my existing folders on Plaxo and allow me to ignore them, so I ended up with newly created folders in my Outlook. If I had the folder name already created in my local Outlook, then it gave me the option to map the folder or ignore it.

Hi Sox,
Sorry about that - it is a current limitation of the folder mapping UI that there is no way to ignore a folder that only exists on the Plaxo server. This will be fixed in our next release (in a few weeks).
Thanks for the feedback,
Russ

When i opened an archive .pst file in my outlook that contain contacts folder, plaxo automatically synced the archive pst onto plaxo online. For me this is not what i want, because I only want to sync the main .pst file, and not the archive. In plaxo 2.0, i could select which pst. file and folder to sync into the online version. but this feature is not available in the 3.0 beta. I hope this could be rectified soon. thanks
