Hello there,
Plaxo 3.0 has the same problem earlier version had. It cannot deal intelligently with proxy settings. My company`s network requires a user to authenticate every time he needs to go to the internet. Since there is no way to input the proxy address on plaxo 3.0 setup, the application always think I`m not connected to the internet.
When using early versions of Plaxo, I found a workaround, witch was from plaxo menu on Outlook go to Help, and since help send an HTTP request, i can authenticate, and then login to plaxo and sync my contacts.
This problem still persists on the new version.
Would n`t be better if plaxo, after understanding that there was no connection, asked about a proxy configuration?
It would help people who has no idea of what a proxy is to understand that it`s not Plaxo that is crap, but network security policy that needs to be followed...
Best regards,
Vini
