Hi,
First of all I have to say that I'm a big fan of Plaxo and thinking that you are doing a great job!
Unfortunately I'm experiencing a couple of problems with the latest Plaxo build.
(for Mac .308)
I had started clean from my mac which created /ical/xxxx-folders on Plaxo.
Problem was that they got duplicated with the next sync leaving the /ical/xxxx-folders and xxxx-folders on Plaxo.
I reset all my Data, deleted all my sync prefs and Syncservices on my Mac.
Deleted all my calendars (I had exported them first)
Deleted all my folders on Plaxo
Deleted all sync Points.
-ending up with a clean system.
First try,
set up the calendars in google, imported the respective ical files, set up a sync point with google - only got some data synced? my birthday calendar (which is only about 70 recurring events 150times as for the pocketmac limitations) did not get synced. the folder itself got synced however.
I left the folders empty on Plaxo
next try,
starting from my mac.
synced some, but again no birthdays.
This time Plaxo didn't create the /ical/xxxx files (which was good)
but with the next sync Plaxo duplicated my calendars on the mac, again, and again. After ending up with four copies of every ical calendar trying to determine which was which with testentries I gave up!
I now set up a new Plaxo account to see what would happen - doesn't do anything!?? It synced my addressbook all right, but no calendar sync is seen. Every once in a while I see the Plaxo Wheel turn but nothing happens.
A long post to describe my troubles but then again it's alpha and I hope you can learn from my troubles.
A few requests!
Enable Calender-REmapping. Once I've set up a calendar mapping I can't change it afterwards! If for some reason I have to change the mapping I'd have to delete and set up the SyncPoint anew - quite some hassle.
Enable import of .ics files!
