Any plans to sync iCal's Birthday Calendar? Right now it doesn't sync. Thanks!

I have the opposite question, but it may be just because I'm new to Mac. iCal (or Entourage) spawns a bunch of calendars called Work, Home, and, yes, Entourage. Plaxo tries to sync with them all, and creates new folders for them in Plaxo Online. I want just one online calendar, so all these calendars on my machine will sync to it -- but can't find folder mapping in the current Mac or online releases. What have I missed?

Thanks!

Plaxo for Mac does not currently sync calendars that are marked as read only (this includes iCal feeds), but we're evaluating if we ought to support this ability or not.

Regarding folder mapping, etc., we'll be providing a way to supply initial folder mapping via our Advanced Setup and then possibly in the Plaxo Preference pane but we don't currently have plans to support merging all iCal calendars into one Plaxo Online calendar.

I vote for allowing read-only ical calendars to sync as well.

In the meantime, is there way to get Plaxo Online to add birthdays to a calendar?

The birthdays calendar in iCal is an interesting case. Mac OS X iCal users most likely use this feature and only update birthday data for each contact in Address Book rather than maintaining a separate calendar. I'll add my vote for a solution which will display this calendar in Plaxo.

As for other read-only calendars: I don't see why it would be a problem, provided you let users know during configuration that:
it's a read only calendar
syncronisation will be one way (Mac to Plaxo)
the calendar can't be edited in Plaxo
the calendar won't be modified with syncs from other Sync Points.

I currently get around the problem by having a duplicate birthdays calendar ("BirthdaysDupe") manually maintained with YABI (http://www.devzero.it/YABI.html). All updates to birthday data are made directly to contacts in Address Book (Plaxo or OS X). Then I run YABI to sync the changes to BirthdaysDupe, which gets published/sync'd to Plaxo.

A final question on calendar mapping: is there any way to alter calendar mapping after you've initially set up the Sync Point in OS X? If there is, I can't seem to find it and have been resorting to using the "Reset Sync Endpont" option every time I want to change a mapping.
