View Full Version : Duplication of appointment attendees in a distribution list

I have Plaxo 3.2.3.43 syncing with a home computer and work computer. The home computer runs Outlook 2007, and the work computer runs Outlook 2003. Here’s the repro:

- I create meeting in Outlook 2003.

- I invite a distribution list and a meeting room. The distribution list is in my synced calendar (didn’t check whether it syncs – don’t care). The list contains people in the Global Address Book who are not in my calendar.

- Some time later after syncs with both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, I find that the invite list for my calendar item contains the distribution list plus some of the people in the list listed separately. As far as I know, did not make any manual changes to the appointment with either computer.

- I reschedule the meeting. In doing so I notice the duplicates and remove them.

- The people I removed now get an update email and meeting canceled email and get really confused.

A workaround will probably be to expand distribution lists before sending the initial meeting notice, but it looks like the problem is due to a Plaxo bug.
