Dear bball2,

We currently don't sync to dos on iCal (yet). We are working on adding that in a subsequent release. We'll announce it on this forum when this feature is available.

Thanks for being a Plaxo user!
Hong

No worries, I found an alternative which is working out nicely:

iCal syncs with Remember the Milk which syncs with Outlook with Remote Calendars which then syncs back to Plaxo

Remember the Milk doesn't really sync to iCal, it just publishes an icalendar feed that iCal can view.

On that note, though, even if Plaxo, at minimum, published an icalendar task feed, then we could at least view our tasks in iCal, even if we couldn't manage them.

Most of the work to support Task syncing on the Mac has been completed; we're just working out some final issues before enabling the feature. This features isn't "something off in the distant future" but rather something that should be appearing before too long.

Oh, don't be such a tease. ;) Give us a hint about what "before too long" means... Weeks? Months? We are, after all, blowing considerable time for you guys. You could at least let us in on a rough schedule for resolution to our hard-identified bugs, here.

I _seriously_ would not tease about this stuff. I had hoped that it would be in there by now myself, but higher priority things have come up. Once you see fewer questions/feedback/complaints about sync errors, that will be the cue that we have more time for fleshing out features.

I want this for my Macs, too! :)

Two months later, are there any updates on iCal task syncing?

Thanks!

Any news yet? I am a new user to Plaxo and thought this feature was included already. Any information would help.

Thanks!

We just released PfM 3.6 which takes care of several Leopard compatibility issues. Now, Task sync is on plate and should be delivered with our next release. I'll drop updates during development to let you know how were doing.

Basic up/down sync of Tasks is now working in our latest internal build of PfM. We have some issues to resolve regarding syncing some of the task elements (e.g. url) but it will do the job for most cases.

I see more activity happening on the Pulse side than I do with core Plaxo features.

While Pulse is certainly expanding by leaps and bounds, we've not forgotten about core Plaxo support and development (though Pulse actually expands that which defines Plaxo core so...)

Basic Task sync works fine in today's engineering builds of Plaxo for Mac but at this point that's not good enough for general release to Plaxo members (though you may send me a note if you'd like to test Task sync knowing that it has some very real rough edges to be worked out).

We should be releasing an update to Plaxo for Mac in the next few days which we had hoped to enable Task sync with, but the aforementioned readiness problems have forced us to pull it for now. We'll try again for the next update.

I'm really sorry about the delays, gang!

Hello,
Will it sync Sync to 'events' in Google Calendar as well ? (a la Remember the Milk)

Thanks,
Sam

Events in Google are calendar events which do sync to iCal via Plaxo (and Plaxo for Mac)

Hi Plaxo Development and Support Team,

thank you for the fantastic work you've been doing! Me and my friends really appreciate that there is a possibility to sync necessary and vital things via Plaxo services. Well done.

Looking forward to see To Do Items syncing as well!

Any news on this? Also have to reset my sync points now about twice a week since upgrading to Leopard. Thinking real hard now about not renewing my premium status.

Pulse is cool but it seems many other companies are now starting to copy it.

Hello,

I'd also like to know if there's any update about iCal To Do syncing with Plaxo.

We are still working on it - never been closer, but at least one significant issue needs to be resolved before we can release the feature in an update to Plaxo for Mac.

I believe this was promised on July 9 2007 but it has been close to a year and we are still waiting...

Please don't disappoint us.
