plaxo/Vista/outlook2003 install problem

Hi

I am having a few problems with the plaxo outlook toolbar

It’s all working fine on my desktop (XP and outlook 2000):)
However my new laptop (outlook 2003 and vista) isn’t playing
The game.

When I fire up Outlook I get an error message saying that “plaxo was unable to
Communicate with outlook properly and will be unavailable”

The toolbar seems to be there – it’s there as a toolbar and the plaxo menu is also
There but does not do anything.

I have tried uninstalling and redownloading the bar and reinstalling a few times
But to no avail.

I have also looked in the disabled items of the about MS Outlook item under the
Help menu in outlook – no items are disabled

Any ideas

Are you using the latest 3.x version of the toolbar? We saw this problem in the past due to Office 2007 being installed and then uninstalled.

If you're already using version 3.6.x, you might try contacting support via e-mail (at plaxo.com).

I have had exactly teh same problem with non functioning Plaxo on my new laptop with Vista and Outlook 2003. The plaxo I am using is, I assume the latest iteraration as I have dowloaded it afresh several times. I am very keen to know how to fix this

Not really sure which version of plaxo I am using but it is the version at
http://www.plaxo.com/downloads - seems to say 3.0 in the licence box when
it installs - it doesn't offer a choice of what to download - or am I missing
something
