New Plaxo won't sync at work

I recently upgraded to the new Plaxo 3 and now my sync point on my work laptop will no longer work. I never had problems previously with the older version of Plaxo -- i was able to synch multipe Outlook Contacts folders between my work laptop, my home PC and Plaxo Online. Ever since upgrading it fails to connect to the Plaxo server when trying to establish the synch point during setup of the Outlook toolbar. It keeps telling me to check my Internet Properties dialog and check internet connection / proxy settings, which haven't changed since this upgrade took place. This is extremely frustrating and I'm afraid this tool I've come to love is no longer of any use to me...

Any suggestions or similar experiences?

I've somehow gotten it to start and execute the synch process, now it gets all the way through the sending of data, and then hangs up during the "Finalizing Synchronization" at the end of the process. I've tried this multiple times with the same results.

If you have a large number of items (contacts, calendar items, etc.) you might try first only syncing a subset of the items. Your sync operation may be "timing out".

If this doesn't work you might try contacting support via e-mail (at plaxo.com).
