Plaxo 3.0 does not Sync with Outlook ost file

I have upgraded to Plaxo 3.0 and now I get the following error message:

This version of Plaxo only supports yncing while in online mode.


I am only working online in very few cases and like to use Outlook in Offline mode but still use Plaxo everytime I am connected to the Internet.

Is there a work around or can I downgrade back to Version 2 which I could not find anymore. Thanks for your help.

This policy was instituted to prevent unwanted deletions from occurring due to items and folders that are not available in offline mode.

However, if you wish to override this policy, you can set a registry key to do this, but please be very careful if you choose to do this.

To enable offline syncing:
1. Windows Start and then "regedit"
2. Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Software, then Plaxo.
3. In a blank area of the right-hand pane, right-click and choose New DWORD Value.
4. Call the new value "EnableOfflineSync" and set it to 1.
