Can't install latest release

I tried to post this yesterday, but it hasn't shown up on the forum.

I tried unsuccessfully again this morning, for the third or fourth time, to download and install the latest Plaxo release. It downloads, i select to run it, i read the 'be sure to back up your data' caveat and license info, click Accept, and a dialog window flashes so briefly i can only sometimes see that the Plaxo logo is in it. It then disappears, no update is installed, and no messages are left anywhere obvious, including in the system error and application logs.

I'm running XP SP2, Outlook 2007, and have administrative priviledges. Any suggestions from anyone?

I tried to upgrade from within the toolbar (about Plaxo, "click here to upgrade"), and I couldn't even get that far. I click the button to upgrade, and it starts to download, then the download window disappears, and I'm back at the "about Plaxo" window. Nothing ever gets installed.
I'm about to try and download directly from the site and install. Stay tuned...

p.s. I'm running XP SP2, and Outlook 2007. Current toolbar version is 3.10.1.3, and it's telling me that version 3.11.0.27 is available.

OK. I was able to get it installed using the downloaded version from www.plaxo.com/downloads. So, I'm now on version 3.11.0.27, whatever that means...

But things goes worst...

I uninstal plaxo toolbar to install the new version, and after the dowload, the same occurs again !!!

And now I have nothing....
Older or the new version...
