Address Book Access Widget in different locales?

Is it possible to show a locale-specific version of the address book access widget? For example, if a user has chosen French as the locale on my site is there a way I can send them to a French version of Plaxo so the AB Access Widget is in French?

Hello Jbodnar,

We looked into localizing the address book widget previously. We discovered it was not just an exercise in changing the language of the interface, but to be useful, we would need to add importers for popular local services. That turned out to be a huge undertaking (sometimes requiring licensing as well as development and operational considerations). So we focused instead on working with the industry on Portable Contacts www.portablecontacts.net, in the hopes that then developers could write their own branded localized contact import services. Plaxo and Google have each announced their implementations of Portable Contacts. Plaxo's implementation can be found at www.plaxo.com/api/portablecontacts. Microsoft, Yahoo and others' implementations are in the works.
