When I compose a message in Outlook, my Plaxo signature appears properly, including my logo. When recipients view my messages, the logo is missing and there is just a placeholder. What happened to my logo? Does it need to be stored in a specific location or named something special?
Thanks... |

Are you using a local file or a file on a website (URL) for your logo? If you are using a local file, it should work ok, however there are some options that can affect this. For example, if you are using Outlook Express, check in Tools Options, and in the Send tab, click on the upper HTML Settings button and make sure the "Send pictures..." option is checked. I'm not sure if there is a similar option for Outlook.

I am using a local file from My Documents. When I compose a message and then right click on the image and check its properties, the path shows up correctly. When I check the source code of a sent message, the image source is something like src="cid:929062208@11102005-23F5" and the image is missing. When I right click on the image in a sent message, it shows something like "outbind://28/cid:406005618@11102005-3082". The source and the path are different for each message sent.
I am using HTML format in Outlook 2002 and have the box check that say to include images. |

Just for grins, I tried changing the logo to reference an image on the web. Same results. It looks great while I am composing my message, but by the time it gets to my recipient, I look like an idiot because there is nothing there but a red X!
Help! |

That's very odd that it would fail the same way using an image from the web, as it should just use an img tag referencing the web image.
I suspect it has to do with a setting in Outlook, but I'm not sure what it would be. You can try contacting Plaxo Customer Support, or try sending an e-mail with your signature to bryan-forum at plaxo.com. |
